Fingerprinting
EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2010, all new resident applicants are required to submit electronic fingerprints for a criminal background check. The applicant is responsible for the costs of the electronic fingerprints. Currently, the cost for electronic fingerprints is $52.90 and must be paid for by a money order (Cash and checks are not acceptable) made payable to Cogent Systems, Inc Pearson VUE provides digital fingerprint services at three of its Georgia test centers: Atlanta South, Macon, and Marietta North; if a candidate wishes to have their fingerprints taken at one of these three test centers, they must present the required fee when reporting to the test center.
